60th Anniversary

Thank you for celebrating with us!

Saint Frances Cabrini School 60th AnniversaryMore than 500 people came to celebrate the school’s 60th anniversary on Sunday, October 29, 2017, and they had a wonderful day.

The day began with the 10am Mass. Bishop Jeff Haines returned to Cabrini to celebrate it. Many people from the school family, past and present, assisted during the Mass as cantor, choir members, servers, extraordinary ministers, readers, and to present the Gifts.

After church, we spent the day enjoying a wonderful lunch, visiting with old friends and teachers, reminiscing and looking through old yearbooks and class pictures, and cheering on our friends and family in the Bean Bag Tournament. Students gave guided school tours (and learned a lot about how things used to be.) There were activities for kids, and lots more.

We also presented the first annual Alumni of the Year awards, to Cathy (Johnson) Spies and Dave Wiesner. (See video:

We also unveiled the 60th Anniversary Memory Quilt. (See video:

A big thank you to the many volunteers who helped before, during, and after the event – with ticket sales, scheduling of events, helping guests, running the bean bag tournament, and more. A special thank you to Father Nathan, whose support and encouragement of the event was strong from the beginning.
