“Pastoral Care Volunteers bring Christ’s presence to those in need of spiritual care, support or comfort with companionship, prayers, hope and Holy Communion.”
Pastoral Care Ministers offer an awareness of God’s presence by visiting parishioners who are homebound, in assisted living or nursing home facilities. They also take Holy Communion to all hospitalized Catholics at St. Joseph’s Hospital, the Cedar Crossings Sub-Acute facility, and the Kathy Hospice. These dedicated volunteers work in collaboration with the ordained priests and deacons, of the area, helping to lighten their work load and making sure that all who request care and support can be ministered to in a timely fashion.
This ministry’s vision could not be fulfilled without the many devoted Pastoral Care volunteers who indeed bring Christ’s presence to those battling illness, loneliness, and physical limitations.
We welcome your participation in any of the following areas:
*Distribute Communion to all Catholic patients daily at Saint Joseph’s Hospital, Cedar Crossings and the Kathy Hospice: Volunteers serve one day a month. *Visit with Communion at Nursing Homes *Visit with Communion at Assisted Living Facilities *Visit Home-bound Individuals with Holy communion and news from the Parish *Pray the Rosary and distribute Communion at the Cedar Campus every second and fourth Monday *Attend Tri-Parish Continuing Education Programs bi-annually
