    • A letter from Father Nathan

Dear Friends at Saint Frances Cabrini Parish:
      Praised be Jesus Christ!

“Lift up your hearts!”  This is the invitation given from the sanctuary by the priest at every Mass as we prepare to enter into the Eucharistic Prayer.  It is an invitation, an acclamation, and even a command: put your hearts where God is.  Put your entire selves and lives where God is.  Look to what is eternal, enduring, true, good, beautiful, and joyful.  Look to what is fully alive.

A parish community has this same command and focus at the center of its mission.  A parish is a community of people, gathered regularly at the altar of sacrifice, that lifts hearts, minds, and lives to God.  In so doing, the rest of the wider world is lifted up as well.  In our changing times often characterized by such uncertainty and anxiety, we as Christians always choose to lift up our hearts because we know that God is near.

Saint Frances Cabrini Parish continues to be a place of truth, goodness, beauty, and vitality in a world that is searching for these things.  It is a place where hearts are lifted up to the Lord over and over again in so many daily, countless acts of offering.

I invite you to respond to Saint Frances Cabrini Parish’s stewardship program: “Lift Up Your Hearts!”  Please review the contents of the campaign brochure and notice just a few of the acts of offering that are made with such generous hearts.  It’s amazing to take note of them! All of this is made possible by hearts that give.   Our goal is to increase our Sunday offertory contributions in order to bring Jesus Christ to as many people as possible and to hand on the Christian faith.  This is no easy task in today’s climate, but I am confident that our parish family continues to be up to the challenge.

On October 22nd and 23rd, the parish will be holding our Commitment Weekend, inviting members of our community to connect with one another and to make a financial commitment that will allow Saint Frances Cabrini Catholic Church to continue its important work.  Please participate in our “Lift Up Your Hearts!” Program and help us respond to God’s great gift of love by loving one another with the heart of His Son.

Please note: this an invitation to support our annual parish operations. The “Lift Up Your Hearts” campaign for our operations is not the same as the Love One Another Campaign from this past spring. Thank you for continuing to honor your commitments to our successful campaign earlier this year, and for supporting our regular operations as well.

Thank you for your generosity, prayers, and commitment to Saint Frances Cabrini Parish!
      In Christ,

      Father Nathan
