Pastoral Care Ministers offer an awareness of God’s presence by visiting parishioners who are homebound, in assisted living or nursing home facilities. They also take Holy Communion to all hospitalized Catholics at St. Joseph’s Hospital, the Cedar Crossings Sub-Acute facility, and the Kathy Hospice. These dedicated volunteers work in collaboration with the ordained priests and deacons, of the area, helping to lighten their work load and making sure that all who request care and support can be ministered to in a timely fashion.
This ministry’s vision could not be fulfilled without the many devoted Pastoral Care volunteers who indeed bring Christ’s presence to those battling illness, loneliness, and physical limitations.
