The Sacrament of Confirmation may be received by those students who are 16 years of age at the time of Confirmation, and who have been involved in a Catholic Formation program during the previous two years, or attend a Catholic high school. Formation programs at Saint Frances Cabrini include Rooted or the At-Home Program. Click on the links for more details. Please contact Julie Braun with any questions.
For Catholics, the Sacrament of Confirmation represents (1) the full initiation of the recipient into the Catholic Church, (2) the strengthening of the work of the Holy Spirit which began at Baptism, (3) a personal decision of the recipient to commit to follow Christ and the precepts of the Catholic Church, and (4) to make a commitment to serve the parish and greater Church. Confirmation is an initiation, not a graduation. As the word “initiation” implies, celebration of this Sacrament is just the beginning, the start of one’s own faith journey as a young adult.
